My cup simply....

..brimeth over!

I set out last week to move out of my comfort zone and 'refill the well' by doing and looking at some things which were a bit different from my usual.

What a week.

I attended the opening of the Andy Warhol Exhibition in the newly restored Burgh Hall in Dunoon, spent a day in Edinburgh looking at three exhibitions and eating out, I met up with friends, went with my sister to a party at Glasgow School of Art and was shown round some of the Degree Show by students, and celebrated a friend's work being selected for the annual Paisley Art Institute exhibition with a visit there.

Wine and canapes, breakfast out, oh the high life!

l loved it all and am now glad to be home.

It has rained for about ten days and I do want to ground myself by gardening (which was my original plan for June).

What do you do to fill the well? And is it fun?

Not just glamour and bling! I found several good reads in Vogue including one about a British family who have taken in a refugee written by the woman of the family, and the refugee, a feature by an Italian citizen living in Britain about her view of Brexit, and one by Arundhati Roy on political activism.....

My well is a bit empty at the moment and ideas for filling it are not forthcoming, but I am so happy to read about your lovely adventures. Put a smile on my face to think of your enjoyment.

Here's the list that set me off Mary (will write a post about it). Do something, however small, a little different under any of these headings - Hair, clothes, travel, hobbies, people, books..... :-)

Having read your posts about it I am truely amazed by the variety of your activities, can imagine so well some grounding is in order now.
Just curious, when you close your eyes now, what comes up on your inner screen?

I guess my shuffling with books today- I answered Cathy's and your question in a reply on yesterdays post, thank you both for asking-
is a kind of re-filling the well. it surely feels like it.

This would be my ideal way to fill the well also, Freda...it sounds like it was stimulating and also very rich! But also good to come home and enjoy quiet reflection in the garden...:-)

What a week, Freda. I know what you say about being glad to be home, I love to go away and travel but the satisfaction of coming home is almost as big as the going.

Like the song says "I'm drinking from my saucer because my cup has overflowed"
