The weather has changed since I took this shot, it is wet and wild and the leaves are falling fast..

I guess it's winter.

By way of this episode of one of our favourite radio programmes, Private Passions on Radio 3, I heard about the remarkable work of Sugata Mitra. This 20 minute Ted Talk on child-driven education will I hope, inspire and delight you.

I enjoyed the Ted Talk very much, Freda. It is one of those simple ideas that can have a big impact and eventually change the world. It is also very inspiring for parents and teachers of any educational system, reminding us that children naturally want to learn, we just have to give them the tools and let them have fun in the process.

I watched all his talks - fascinating about why schools are the way they are, and you are right I think that his ideas will have a big impact. (And children may have more fun!)

That's a wonderful image to share even if it no longer looks quite so beautiful. I always find Ted talks so inspiring and this was too was no exception, he had so many good ideas. Sarah x
