I love the way this little tree caught the light this afternoon, emphasising it's horizontal form. It is a very slow growing cornus controversa variegata, one of three, which will, eventually, be the stars of the garden. Also known as the 'wedding cake tree'.
So, didn't they make a fabulous couple? Wasn't she beautiful? And wasn't the dress just perfect?....I couldn't watch on the day. I was on five trains, a car and a ferry....
