This is the Schoolhouse Burn, part of a lovely half hour circular walk in the forest behind our house.

Looking back down to the loch (and catching my breath!)

The view from the highest point is lovely - even on a misty wet day.

I really have no excuse not to walk more. Good food again, egg, soup, chicken and vegetables (also several biscuits - I had guests and no will power!) but doing OK....and planning a longer walk for tomorrow.

The new header photo is from Benmore Botanic Gardens last autumn.

What a beautiful walk, the sound of the burn must be wonderful too. Walking is a much nicer way of getting fit rather than going to a gym especially with fantastic scenery close by!

The banner is so beautiful. And I cannot but agree with all comments above, the nature in your neighbourhood is breathtaking.
Do you know where the name of your walk comes from? A burn is a brook isn't it?

A burn is a brook or stream, and this one comes down close to what was the village school (now a private house) - thus it's charming name. I'm glad you like the banner!
