I love this little bag, a surprise find in a local shop where I was just passing time till the bus came... Italian leather £19.95

Picture
I got a sweet hug from a laughing girl in the street who was holding a big notice saying FREE HUGS.

Both the bag and the hug were very cheering!

Hi Freda , glad you are back . I read your blog everyday but have problems leaving a comment as that section fails to load properly. Computers !!! Anyway ... delighted to see you solved your computer problems. I just love the pink bag and who could refuse a free hug to brighten their day. Your post brightened mine.

The way computers work, or don't work, is a complete mystery to me Mary B and I'm sorry you are having trouble commenting sometimes, but very glad to know this post cheered you!

What a cheerful little bag!

I keep trying to keep my bag as small as I can, but between reading glasses, sunglasses, night-time driving glasses...well, you get the picture. :)

Using public transport a lot now I usually have a backpack, so I may not use this very often but I am sure it will bring me jpy when I do have occasion to need very little.

Love this post, especially the chic pink bag. Made me smile.

Just learnt that smiling reduces cortisol levels and promotes endorphins - even when the smile is produced by putting a pair of chopsticks sideways in your mouth. Tip, therefore, for the day, buy a cheery little bag and, no matter how grim you feel, get the chopsticks in sideways.

Isn't it strange that something inanimate like a bag can make you smile?
I found that even standing in what I call the 'Yay' position makes me feel different (less paingul than chopsticks in the mouth!)

Please demonstrate. Is it arms akimbo?

Your bag is very stylish and even more pleasing when you are not looking for something. Generally speaking I would say the same about hugs. And smiling.

I love the colour of your bag. I have the same style one that I bought years ago in San Gimingano in Italy. I bought it whilst waiting for my young children and my husband were climbing up one of the towers there. It was at a time when I rarely bought anything for myself and I still remember the thrill of a reckless purchase. Mines a boring tan colour though. I haven’t had the bag in my possession for a few years as my daughter ‘borrowed ‘it a few years ago. She assures me that I will get it back on her return from Paris where she is working this year. That makes it very chic, and as she’s only 23, it also makes us very cool in our handbag tastes😎!!

I too have a similar one in duck egg blue - bought in Venice last year - small enough to pack in my loaded suitcase on the way home. It reminds me of our lovely trip to Italy everytime I see it.
