Issues still not fully resolved but I miss you! Writing a blog post is so much part of my daily routine that I find myself all at sea without it. As I drift around on my day I am on the lookout for something beautiful/funny/unusual/interesting/thought provoking, something I want to share with like-minded friends here. I like to think it keeps me alert, in a gently challening way. I love it when your comments make it a conversation rather than a monologue.

I like to think it keeps me alert, in a gently challening way. I love it when your comments make it a conversation rather than a monologue. The swallows have fledged and the garden was full of them when I opened the back door this morning. I wonder what it is like to leave the dark warm nest and find yourself in the huge sky with sunlight on your wings and a dozen or more swallows weaving and wheeling around you with joyous cries. I must have watched them for fully five minutes, mouth agape (mine as well as theirs. Truly.) It was the most beautiful start to the day.

I missed you too! I didn't want to put pressure on you, by responding, when you were in the midst of tackling another new tech update.

The pace of change and the constant stress of trying to keep up accounts perhaps for the decline in mental health in the population. Outdoor swimming sounds like a wonderful antidote!

I suspect the swallows don’t overthink the way we do! They just fly.

So delighted you are back! Love the pictures and thots about the Swallows. We have birds here called Chakalacas. They are black with a long tail and have the walking shape of a Roadrunner, as big as a small dog! They make the loudest racket you can imagine a bird could possibly make. Sounds like they are arguing with each other but probably warnings about surroundings. And then they also make the sweetest baby bird sounds and you can’t believe they are the same bird. They are a hoot and I enjoy them.

My daughter and I have been reading about how the birds navigate their way to Africa. It is astonishing.
