My comfort zone -aka my home - is turned upside down.
It will be fine.
I am sure.
Although right now I wish I'd never started it!

Hang on in there, Freda. It'll be worth it in the end. I'm glad ' he showed up.

Ian turned up, with his wife - I have a team! I feel much more relaxed now that they have started. Spent today doing paperwork (she’d not an option!). Tomorrow will clean the greenhouse . All good. Thank you for your encouragement!

Even if it is only one infrequently used room that is being painted the whole house is affected! It will be worth it and this is just the broken egg stage of the omelette. Retreat to your lovely greenhouse if the sun comes out.

It never seems worth it until about two days after they have finished and the painful memory fades. It’s such an invasion. They have more messy equipment than ever seems necessary, they like a chat and the worst ones have radios...Courage!

I think I am lucky - no radio, quiet and quick. So far so glad!

road construction signs here say 'temporary inconvenience, permanent improvement.' just think how pleased you'll be when it's all done.

If anyone knows about upheaval it is you Jessica! I don’t know how you do it. When we first bought this house we did lots of work ourselves, but I am very glad to have someone else doing it now. ;-)

I think it's like child birth, first the pain then the ecstasy!
