Wild orchids growing in grass are beautiful and I'm sure you will soon have more as they seem to seed quite easily. I have some seedlings that have appeared in with
potted plants. Still waiting for them to flower though.

The numbers vary hugely over the years from one or 2 to 26! Enjoy your flowers when they come. They’re so beautiful.

I have no place for a garden, wild or managed. I bought my first bouquet of the season at the farmer's market yesterday. It has calla lilies in it; I've never had them in a bouquet before. Just seeing them adds a little joy to my day.

I would think a farmers market would be a lovely place to buy flowers. Canna lilies sound very exotic! And joy giving

Love how the wildflowers come through parts of your garden when not mowed. Can't say my yard would have quite the same look if un-mowed as the weeds (that make up 95% of the lawn) are not quite so attractive. Wire grass is very unlovely and ravages all other nature. Hot weather and three inches (76mm) of rain the last couple of days means it is in dire need of a cut. So thanks for photos of your pretty patch. :)

We are very lucky that the weeds are very pretty ones, and quite easy to manage. I’m glad you are enjoying the photographs.

It has been a good year for orchids in the gardens I’ve visited. Great Dixter meadows looking very fine.
P.S Grateful for the larger typeface as I am between glasses!
