I know exactly what you mean about the hush and the world slowing down - I love that. It's like it has a huge but very peaceful presence. Magical. Only the most minuscule of snow showers here - just the odd flake or two!
Magic is the word. And peaceful..
It has just started snowing here this evening but it is quite wet - I wonder what the morning will bring.
I hope it brought you some snow - just enough to be pretty.
Not much snow in Toronto at the moment, and you have more than we do. It's relatively mild at the moment, in contrast to blistering cold the last couple of winters.
Am reading Ivanhoe. I had an urge to read Sir Walter Scott -- I find he's definitely more of a fall/winter writer than a spring/summer one.
Have not ready any Sir Walter Scott since school!
So beautiful and captured so well. I know you will enjoy it! There isn't even a frost here this morning. Sarah x
Loving it Sarah and the extra light it brings. Your turn may yet come!
Beautiful. Ours has all gone, a mere sprinkling that lasted an hour :(
I wonder if you will get more than one hour..
I love to be on the inside looking out, but like the crunching sound when I walk. Snow & single digit temperatures today...I'm already cold!!
Ah yes, that lovely crunch. All the animal tracks too. I hope you are warm now..
I am visiting on Vancouver Island for the month...we are having steady cold rain that gets down your neck...it is dreary and foggy and takes a lot of determination to get out there and have fun anyway... Snow would be a wonderful treat! Your photos are beautiful, Freda...
I hope you get some soon Julia! It is certainly more fun than rain in my opinion - though the kids like the rain too..it's interesting we don't have rain games though we have lots of snow games.
