From looking back to looking forward. I've been thinking of a wish list... I'd like to see fields of lavender growing, perhaps in Grasse. I'd like to see Vermeer's paintings. And Monet's Waterlilies in L'Orangerie in Paris. I'd love to visit Japan. What's on your wish list?

I've been to Grasse (beautiful) and seen the waterlilies both in Monet's garden (I adored the house, especially the kitchen!) and seen the paintings 'in the round' (gorgeous), but at the moment my wish-list has Oxford. I want the treat of staying right opposite the Ashmolean for a few days, to really get to know the place properly, attend a lecture or two and spend time sketching. Probably next year, by the time husband can commit to garden and cat-sitting (he often works away).

I loved the Ashmolean. We could meet there Linda. It's fun to have a wish list isn't it - mine is constantly evolving along with my dreamboard, but a trip to Japan (in cherry blossom season), a hot air balloon flight, and a return to my favourite island have been on my list for some time now. There are more mundane things too and more personal things, but I like to try to make at least one of my wishes come true each year, even if it's only a small and simple one!

I've been up in a balloon - nearest thing to a magic carpet! Wonderful! I need to think now about making wishes come true...

Well, because of your blog, Freda..there are about 30 places in Scotland on my wish list! Now for the planning part...:-)

Keep working on it Julia :-) I am rather astonished to find I have done all of those things and would happily do them again. I will treat myself to some happy contemplation of a new wish list after I have finished shredding the papers that came from the latest bout of Kondoing. The shredder keeps overheating and cutting out!

Like Lucille I need some time to think about this. Visiting Japan was on my wishlist for a very long time but time came in between.

I have a wish list the length of my arm ... At the very top is Iceland. Do let me know if you fancy a trip to Paris and the Waterlilies!

I met an astronaut a few years ago whose photos from the international space station kindled a longing for a trip into outer space. As that wish is unlikely to be granted, I would settle for another trip to England. Leave a Reply. |
