Among my copious notes I found this advice -

If the shoe fits, buy it in every colour!

I photographed this shop window in Venice one evening and planned to visit it next day, but next day - lockdown!

Oh well, I couldn't have afforded to buy every colour and would have had a very hard time choosing...

A very pretty palette! When I saw the photo, I assumed it was in Glasgow with the McDonald's sign reflected in the shop window. Would never have guessed it was Venice. They are everywhere ...

I wear a hard to find size (9.5AAA) On those rare occasions that I find shoes that are both fit and are comfortable, then I buy 2 pairs.

Those shoes do look lovely. There is some so special about Italian shoes. I wouldn’t have had that dilemma, however, as my feet are too big for Italian shoe shops! I do recall my daughter buying a pair of gold trainers when she was about 7and we were on holiday in Tuscany. She thought she was the bees knees!

What beautiful colours and so elegantly displayed. The trouble with buying multiple pairs for me is needing to wear them for a while to see if they pass the day-long comfort test.

I can't understand why a pair of shoes I have worn for a while suddenly give me blisters! It has happened more than once...
