Maybe it was the Marie Kondo clearing which made space in my head for the idle thought which popped into it one quiet evening and made me ask Barry

Will we go away for a month again this winter?

To Venice?

Hmmm. How can I make this happen I wonder....

I took the title for this post from a fascinating blog I just discovered via Cornflower Books - it seemed so apt!

freda, i am a total believe in both of these thoughts...first that your clutter-clearing made room for you to find more of what you do want and what brings you joy!...but also the idea that: we form an intention...we actually voice it...and then every choice we make, conscious or unconscious, moves us one step closer to fulfilling that intention...you are going to venice! it will happen!

Have you read the novel Miss Garnet's Angel by Salley Vickers - I think you will find it most appropriate for your Venice escapade.
