First cuppa

check the blog and email

a little laundry to put away

and some time in the studio

a little sunshine!

and the robin is posing - wish I had a better zoom lens

a quick look at the day book..

a nice wee group

I like circles..

and look -

here comes the hail!

It's not going to go viral is it !!

But I don't suppose you come to a blog called Live Simply for excitement and scandal..

I decided today to take snapshots of my day just as it sometimes is - ordinary. Peaceful and quietly productive.

Ordinary can be a blessing, can't it.

I have been following your posts whilst on holiday on my new birthday I-pad but the reception is intermittent - this morning it is working perfectly just as we are packing ready to leave. Question - what is the day book? Nice to see glimpses of your ordinary day - have a good weekend.

Why is it that whenever a book appears in a photograph I long to see it's title? I think it was you who mentioned it: now I've read Sylvain Tesson's (Wodka sprinkled) diary. Love diaries.

I love ordinary days, nice, orderly ones where I can potter and read and knit and just "be" and have time to let my mind wander! Our view here isn't as pretty as yours but we have a lot of greenery around our small plot and I like to keep an eye on the outdoors - this weekend we had all the doors and windows open for spring air and sunshine, beautiful :o
(I, too, have a thing about circles!)

At the moment we are living through the turmoil of bereavement and illness and the peace of the ordinary day seems a long way away. It is good to be reminded of it!

I am sorry you are in a difficult place - perhaps you will find the odd 'ordinary' hour or two in your days, until the peacefulness of ordinary days returns. You help me appreciate ordinary for the blessing it is Elizabeth. Thanks for commenting. (I like your choice of tree..)
