In the company of a robin.

The sight of a robin always lifts my spirits. I can see you are having fun, Freda. Your photos make me realise I must try to put some order into my "garden". It's such a random, messy hotchpotch that I feel more than a bit overwhelmed by the prospect!

Start small Grace, but start! - the patio? The view from a window? The doorstep?

Your Autumn garden looks beautiful. Raking leaves is such a pleasant task and the company of a friendly robin is one of the joys of gardening isn't it ? Your garden layout intrigues me, it's not as I imagined it from reading your posts. Would you feel able to share a sketch layout with us ? If you want to keep your garden private I understand and hope you don't mind me asking?!

How delightful, Freda! I am imagining the smiles on the faces of passersby, just seeing your whimsical design.. hope there won’t be any big winds!

I wonder if you left them there for as long as possible whether you would end up with fairy rings of fungi in their place? I know mushrooms etc often pop up where I've used leaves as mulch. But as Julia says, high winds may be a factor!

As I am trying to get rid of moss I can't leave them there too long. I made a wish in one so far....

I suspect you did it on purpose to break the pattern, if you would have moved the first (or third depending on your point of view) circle a little bit closer to the others not only the monk but also the child within could have had the time of her life jumping the circles.
