iphone camera or camera? that first one..i honestly thought: oh! freda is doing watercolor...these are gorgeous..little treasures, saved from the munching deer!
(by the way..it is 6pm .there is a raccoon on our deck just now..the bounder!)

raccoons, Freda, are unfortunately very territorial...they get into your new bedding plants and rip them up...they get into your compost and make a huge mess! and worse, yet, .if you make them mad, they often will leave a "message" for you...in the form of a dump.

They're beautiful. They remind me of the way glass melts. I have both those exact colours in sheet glass (pink is expensive though!) and the green is appropriately named 'spring green'.

This tulip 'Groenland' is a variation of one called Spring Green.

I had only seen these on my phone this morning. Now that I look at the photos on my (big) computer screen, I'm persuaded that the first one is in fact a painting. Do tell Freda!

No, it's a photo! I did once do a number of watercolours of tulips as I do love them.
