Simply..deciding....

I'm deciding that I won't try to sell my good surplus clothes on Ebay.

Some time ago I said (decided) that I didn't need to get the last gasp out of everything, and that's what it feels like I'm trying to do by selling them.

I've had my moneysworth.

Also I'm a bit lazy, have had annoying hassle with PayPal, and the nearest post office is 7 miles away.

Instead they will go to that great little charity shop on Byres Road.

The relief!

Are you agonising over a decision too? Kind of draining, isn't it? I nearly forgot I'm supposed to ask myself What would be simplest? And just do it....Yay!

I always feel its a good way of being grateful to the universe that I have so much that I can share it, and try to ignore the little voice telling me I'm too lazy to do anything else with it! And it IS good to share!
Lovely photo. We had an amazing sky down South this morning, fantastic glowing pinks and purples. Pennyx

I did some declutter last year because things were getting out of control at home, and my plans were to sell as well, but ended up giving everything to different people, and it felt pretty well! Selling can be a pretty good solution, (especially if you do need the money), but I doubt it pays more than the feeling of helping someone... I'm pretty satisfied with that particular decision.

I'm planning a help-yourself-if-you-want -anything box for a family gathering later this month, then charity shop with the rest. (It was 4pm Penny - I rarely see 4am!)

My husband would prefer me to sell and recoup some of the cost but meanwhile, he seems to have realised that most of the time, we get rid of things more quickly if we take them to the charity shop! As he's not really aware of what's in all the boxes and bags, I only had to get over it myself - now I don't bat an eyelash no matter what the object cost me originally, as it's my own fault if I bought something I no longer like or want! It took a while for me stop buying that stuff, but these days, I feel like a reformed woman lol :) And the better quality items will help the charity shop get more custom, win-win...

I think I keep all the charity shops in our town going singlehandedly. Each week I clear more stuff out - this week handbags and old music cassettes. We don't have anything to play them on any more. I am now down to just six essential handbags of different sizes and colours. Although reading some simple living/de-cluttering blogs they say I could just manage with one!
