Don't Panic is the title of an hour long video by the late Hans Rosling (a hero of mine). It is so worth watching and will change your world view forever. If you don't have an hour and have not seen it yet this 4 minute one should not be missed.

Brilliant.

Not a direct response to this, but I will watch the video - this is more a response to your post 3/3/17, in which panic could be addressed. What you wrote, and the responses hit the nail on the head - just my position. Asking for help is SO hard, not keen on paying for it either, but I realise both have to be done. I have been taking myself in hand over 'I can't do it' issues: managing the loft ladder, the car, the house, the garden, those journeys, those events. Middle son sorted printer issues, mended kitchen door this w/e. Other kids endlessly helpful, even if on the phone. Your blog is such a help, what you write, your beautiful photos and the women who respond. Thank you.

not panic at the state of things, but such sadness. a mass shooting in Pittsburgh yesterday. I know no one involved, but 11 dead, 6 injured - 25 miles from me. I really don't know where any of this is going. we're becoming such a country/world of hate.

25 miles away, really brings it home.

It is just so shocking it is hard to take it in and being so close to home must make it even harder to comprehend, if such violence can ever be comprehended. All of your city must be in shock. Thinking of you Cathy. Take care.

Oh I adore Factfulness. It’s an amazing read. I’m adoring podcasts of Radio Scotland’s Personal Best. I wonder if you listen? Full of great ideas on life. Great backlist too.

I will look that up thanks Liz. I know Factfulness was used recently at a university team meeting to great effect. I have browsed it but wil nowl get a copy as part of my Winter Plan.
