Simply..fitter....

I've been given a Fitbit and it has motivated me already to move more.

Instead of loading myself up with everything that needed taken downstairs I found myself thinking 'I'll just make two trips it will be more steps'.

6,743 today.

Without really trying.

Wonder if I can make the recommended 10,000....

You totally can, Freda!!! Just add a 20 min briskish walk each morning and you will get another 3000 stepts in.. and smile while you are at it!

Just think how many steps lawnmowing will tot up... My neighbour was given a Fitbit by her son who synced it with his own phone so that he could keep track of her step count... so she attached it to the dog!

A few walks up and down to the edge of the Loch should do it!

9854 yesterday with an extra walk along the shore path to my daughters Viv. But I was very tired! I need to work up to this gradually!

I wear mine in the winter just to remind myself not to sit too long .

Good idea Gail - I hope I can keep up this new habit over winter!

8276 and 8435 clocked up today by us on identical walks. Admittedly this was a health app on the phones so maybe a Fitbit is more accurate but it was a bit galling! Needless to say mine was the lower score! There was an awful lot of sitting in the car to get to those walks too which can't be good. The Open Garden season is upon us and it is very tempting to drive to the new ones further away now that we have seen all the nearby ones several times.

Does length of stride make a difference? Enjoy the Open Gardens no matter how you get there! I am sure in your part of the country you are spoiled for choice.
