I love setting flowers under lights and lamps..

These cosmos are the lucky ones I picked this morning. The ones still in the garden are being battered by heavy rain as I write.

My focus is changing from out of doors to inside, and I'm buying flowers again, a definite sign that the season has changed.

Flowers do look beautiful when they are illumined. My Cosmos are still going strong I am trying to keep them going by deadheading but they seem determined to defeat me. I never buy flowers but try to pick something every week from the garden even if it is only foliage. It gets harder as the winter draws on - but this week week a nice vase full of hips, haws and berries will fit the bill nicely.
