Oddly, I think they are better in black and white. Not sure why.

Great photograph for a seven year old, don't you think?

Well done Scott!

And thank you for the inspiration C - it will be yet more fun to try for a sunny day version, a snowy day version....you may have started something here.

My heart is singing for you, Freda...what exuberance! And what joy! Our grand children are our greatest gifts...:-)

You and Scott have created a string of smiles. That's precious.
I am looking forward already to a seasonal update.
Nice to see you..

Wonderful photos-either way. I think I see what you mean about the colour vs. black and white. Perhaps it that when you look at the ones in colour, it the colour that first catches your eye. But when you look at them in black and white, it is the emotion on your faces that first captures your attention. Looking forward to the series.

I think you have it Mary. Given the subject you would think colour would add to the feeling of exuberance, but perhaps it is a distraction? Thanks for that insight.

How cheery! Personally I prefer the top one - those colours are just the ticket with weather like that.

Just love these photos!! (I actually like the coloured ones best.) Scott's done a brilliant job - I'm most impressed! And like Cath says, it's nice to 'see' you :-)

I also love how your yellow coat completes the rainbow...

Wonderful! And lovely to see you both. We are mostly invisible and silent on our blogs aren't we? Have you ever tried one of those selective colour filters? That might be fun to play around with. I've seen them elsewhere but not sure what they are called.

This photos are utterly joyful! I love the b&w ones but I'm not sure that if I hadn't seen the colored ones first I would be able to guess all the hues... and they are so fun to look at. What a wonderful afternoon it must have been fo the both of you. Thank you for sharing!

Amazing shots - I like the vibrance of the colour because it shows the vibrance coming from you for that moment. Wonderful that it made you feel so different too.
