As a beautiful finale to the festive season we went to Scottish Ballet's The Snow Queen last night.

Even the journey there was magical with snow on the Arrocher Alps and there was bright frost and moonlight on the way home over the Rest and Be Thankful.

I am both rested and very thankful! I watched the ballet all over again at breakfast - it's on BBC iPlayer. I was able to see all the detail I couldn't see very well in the theatre.

Wonderful.

Hi Freda. I was able to watch 2 trailers on the website...what magic! And what a wonderful end of winter enchantment. The ride to and fro and also the performance... glorious!

Haven't been able to listen alas but my gratitude cup was filled to the brim anyway with your photographs.

'Rest and Be Thankful' is such a wonderful and no doubt fitting name for a mountain, especially after a long climb resulting in a no doubt glorious view.

It's the wonderful name for the pass between Cath (known in recent years for it's landslides unfortunately! Which adds somewhat to the excitement..)

Coincidentally, I had saved this to watch later (on the 5th) then this morning read your post a little hastily... this grey afternoon I thought I‘d catch up and I do believe it‘s the same production! Quite delightful - must have been a wonderful evening for you live!!

It was a new production for Scottish Baller's 50th anniversary. We went to a talk beforehand which added to the pleasure I'm so glad you enjoyed it too.
