I hope you are getting some sunshine..
Another chair in danger of being taken over. Golden hop this time - I swear it grows several inches every day! The rose is called 'Lucky' and the perfume is beautiful this hot day. Campanula lactiflora 'Anna Lodden' and geranium 'Patricia'. Campanula 'Pritchard's Variety' with geranium 'Rozanne' Geranium psilostemnon is very like 'Patricia' - maybe a tiny bit more intense in colour, a little taller and not so long-lasting. I know I say this every year but papaver ruprifragum attracts more insects than any other plant in the garden. Each flower has 6 to 8 hoverflies in it early in the morning. It looks a bit horrible actually! Infested!
I hope you are getting some sunshine..

We are having our first tropical day of the season today. (34C). How happy I will be when it cools down to 24C tomorrow.

I hope your poor face is back to normal! Too busy preparing for guests to use the hammock lately - hopefully there will be plenty more opportunities.

Your garden looks fabulous Freda. We've had rather high temperatures down south! 35 degrees driving back from Bristol in a little car with no air-con was a bit much, but it was worth the effort as I was returning from my son's graduation! They all found the gowns a tad stifling the day before!! It was lovely though! Penny L

Congratulations for your part in your son's graduation Penny! But sooo hot! I hope it cools down a little while you recover.

I do love a virtual walk around your garden Freda. The light in that first picture is especially lovely. And 'papaver ruprifragum' is repeating itself in my head now, like a little tongue twister! It reminds me of learning Latin words at school which I secretly loved - half swot/half rebel - my secret is out! Another gorgeous day here, I hope yours has been too. :-)

The late afternoon light is my favourite in this garden. A change of weather here after some spectacular overnight thunder and lightening which to my surprise I slept through!

In the US, particularly in the South and Mid-atlantic, kudzu takes over whole forests (encasing trees top to bottom) and even buildings in what seems like a blink of an eye, so your gentle creeping vines around the chairs looks lovely by comparison...the flowers are so pretty and varied.

Our flora is gentle compared to some countries!
