Simply..growing my own....

..flowers for cutting is one of my greatest pleasures. Having a garden just big enough to be able to pick from it without leaving a great gap is a joy. Currently I have daffodil Thalia, tulip Purissima, forget me nots and blue camassias and I've had several small arrangements without spoiling the effect in the garden.

I happened to move a small lamp and find the way it lights the flowers is quite dramatic...

Delightful photographs Freda.
Picking flowers from our garden is one of my pleasures in life. This afternoon , ahead of storm Hannah , I brought in 3 jugfuls of lilac , Rhododendron Cheer and some greenery. The perfume is a gorgeous distraction from the howling gale going on outside !

Nice napkins! (If that's what's under the candle.) A cutting patch is on my wish list, but vegetables have taken priority at the moment. I get a lot of joy being able to pick those from the garden. One day I'll get round to both...

Your photo reminds me of those fine artist's painting who paint photographically it has similar characteristics of the light and shade.

Camassias. I will take a tip from you next year. They are lovely with the white. I’ve been delighted to be able to cut a few tulips this year.
But box moth has ravaged three box hedges so it’s win some lose some in the garden.

It's always win some lose some in a garden! Camassias are a winner here needing no attention whatever - I hope you are as lucky with them Lucille.
