water (ocean or lake, not rain!); culture...maybe an art gallery or a studio tour; camaraderie; something unplanned or unexpected....laughter is good too...:-)

A week in New York. I usually gravitate towards the country but this has been great. Time to explore. A really convenient base in West Village, a son to see and glorious hot weather which is just about bearable in shady parks and air conditioned galleries. A really stimulating adventure when life has felt a little humdrum of late.
