...with it's own space.

Professor Gustavsson in Sweden gave this advice (which I've mentioned before) about what to do with something special. He was talking of landscape design, but I've found it to be good advice in lots of situations.

I love the way the flowers link visually with different parts of the two paintings by the table - with the green birds in the first (Dreams Of Flying) and with the pink bird in the second (Freedom).

Have you been given any good advice, about anything? Advice that you remember? From someone you admired or respected perhaps?

Those are perfect combinations Freda, they could have been made for one another. Beautiful. (Am also slightly in love with your white table!)
I came across the following quote on someone's blog the other day (sorry, I've forgotten who) which seemed like pretty good advice for life:

The table reflects in a lot of light and is really good for photographing things on. It came from Habitat many years ago. Thanks for your comment Penny!

No advice, but a suggestion for you, Freda: when you get your new phone, join Instagram and post some of your lovely photographs there - honouring them with more of their own space, as it were!

I would agree. It is like a description of mindfulness perhaps? I learned a lot about simplicity in Sweden.

i love this idea..of honoring things with their own space...and feelings as well....wonderful! a piece of advice i read was this: pause for a moment before you answer the phone, and smile...your caller will "hear" that smile in your voice...i wonder if it works before you make a blog post too....:-)
