One for now, one in the fridge for later or in the freezer for a day when I don't have time or am travelling. I do this about 9 days out of 10 and have supermarket fresh pressed juice for the 10th day.

Lovely.

On your international blog, I'm confessing a private matter - I have a real problem eating too much sugar. Fat, no, white bread, no. Food that is tubular like sausage, no. Sugar, give me what you have and no one will be hurt. So....to fill my tummy so there's no room left for sugary treat, I'm stuffing myself with fruit. Started yesterday; this is what my body needs.

Hi Gail, I don't know if this will be helpful, you may know it already, but some basic things that can help when you're trying to tackle sugar cravings (huge topic) are: staying well hydrated with water, taking probiotics to counteract candida in the gut (most people with sugar cravings have candida issues even if you don't have obvious symptoms), and taking good quality magnesium and gtf chromium supplements. Also eating small healthy meals - a little and often (no refined/processed foods) can really help keep blood sugar under control and reduce or eliminate the cravings. It's good to have some protein with each meal and of course lots of veg. Sugar hides everywhere - check all labels for sugar or sugar substitutes and avoid anything ending in 'ose' like glucose, fructose, dextrose etc... Hope this helps in some way. I'm not a doctor or naturopath but I've had a lot of experience managing my own blood sugar and haven't eaten sugar for years now - I don't miss it at all! It is possible... Good luck :-)

You are so kind to share this info.

Gail I have had sugar problems all my life too, but although I've not cut it out all together (I found when I did that I got a huge reaction when I did have some) I rarely crave it now. The better I eat the less I need it and Lotta's advice will surely help! There is an element of the 'confessional' about blogging isn't there :-)

I had something almost identical for breakfast Freda! Doesn't it make you feel alive...

What a good start of the day, indeed! Juices is something I'm trying to implement for quite sometime, but I easily get off-wagon, especially when I'm busy. Not that that makes sense, but it tends to go that way. I do feel better when I do, and proud for taking good care of myself!

It is quite time consuming, but as you say it feels good to take good care of yourself!

That looks so healthy! One of our local cafes makes healthy juices. It makes me feel good just drinking them. I did try it at home once, I'm not sure I got the combinations quite right as the second time I tried it was very leafy! Sarah x

I'm always experimenting with different things, but wish I had a cafe close by which made them too.

This is exactly the innformation i needed to get started. Thank you, Freda and all. Your retreat sounded so fantastic, but i would have to travel hundreds of miles to find one like that...juicing, a fitbit..you are on a roll! I gather you find the equipment easy to clean...and i bet your compost pile is alive and kicking too..:-)

I am on a roll (with encouragement from all here thank you!) Juicing is a bit time consuming, but worth it for me. Quite easy to clean if you do it straight away Julia.
