Even on cooler days the hammock is a treat, with an extra throw..
Or two.
So cosy after a few hours hard gardening.
Do you do outdoor hygge?

Wonderful to see you here Susan! Having a view is even more of an incentive to sit outside. The hammock feels x a bit like camping but with the comfort of home just a few steps away! x

That does look wonderfully cosy and I wonder why we don't layer up and sit outside more. I knew an elderly lady who always sat outside for a while on a dry day all through the year. Jessie's trick was to conceal a hot water bottle among the layers of blanket. Hope it stays dry for more outdoor hygge.

I shall try to follow Jessie's example this winter!

Looks idyllic. Could be a photo shoot for Country Living magazine.

It has it's moments! I was very inspired by that magazine when we first moved here.

28 degrees in Paris today, so not quite the hygge season yet! But your post really makes me realise I should make more of having a garden beyond summer. It is actually quite a privilege to have one.

Especially in times of Covid. (My book group read Camus' The Plague recently.)

Hi Freda, Yes, we have a bit of outdoor Hygge. We turned our covered side porch into a "living room" with cushioned seating and even an electric lamp for reading in the evening or doing a bit of knitting. I love the feeling of being outdoors at dusk doing these activities with my lamp on. I have been using a plaid wool throw recently because it is starting to cool down. Like the hot water bottle idea!

That sounds delightful Lisa, with the cushions and the lamp. Paradise moments I think....
