While clearing I began to move things around a little.

(I do it with paintings all the time.)

See if it sparks joy to select a favourite decorative item and put iit in a new place. And add a branch of something...

Am giddy with excitement as I am off on a holiday!

Enjoy your holiday. Yes, I move things, including artwork, as well as rotate in/ out of use. Keeps the feeling fresh

I've been cutting back my japonica and so, remembering your tip, I've filled a shallow white china bowl with quinces. They're on the hall table and every time I pass them they give me a spark of pleasure.

I change them seasonally, and if I paint or buy a new one. Thing is I end up moving them all..

Scotland is busy with ‘staycationers’. Thankfully numbers are very low here.
