There's a poster that says What is a Marie Kondo and where can I get one? That made me laugh out loud, and it also reminded me of a Calman cartoon - A woman is holding a placard which says Free Women Now! and a little man is standing in front of her meekly asking Can I have one? What makes you laugh?

Making me smile at the moment: Watching a short video of two of my grandchildren (ages 3 and 18mo old) playing in 10" of snow. On film, my DIL asked the 3 yr old if she likes the snow and gets a smiling, unequivocal, Yes! Turning the camera to the 18 mo old, dressed like the abominable snowman and standing immobile in the snow depth, the response is not quite as delighted...as he growls out, Arrrgggghhhh!

Making me smile too - thanks for sharing this Mary! Love that! So many things make me laugh... quite often my own stupidity or misfortune... like the time last January when I was having a sneaky pee behind a hedge just as the farmer appeared at the top of the field and I had to leap over the fence having managed to pull up my jeans but had left my thermal leggings somewhere round my knees and had to hobble across a field of oncoming dog walkers whilst trying discreetly to rescue them... not exactly a quick or dignified getaway!! Still makes me laugh to think of it!

The old style wool skirts for country walks had their uses when it came to quick pit-stops! As did tall walking sticks for helping to get up again!

I laughed out loud when i read that, Freda...what comes to mind for me is the time my husband (who does not cook!) decided to surprise me, and his cousins, by making an elaborate lunch, with several courses, and special summer drinks as well..his cousin’s response: Who are you? And what have you done with Fred?

Silly of me, i was not clear! What i meant was that fred’s cousin, who knew him so well, said that to him: who are you? (As in this cannot be Fred, doing such incredible cooking!)..so therefore..what have you done with the real Fred?
