Are you in need of a pep-talk?
This may be it. Living Well Is More Than Organic Fruit from Everyday Hygge.
It worked for me.
I got up and did something immediately.
Did you?

Quite so. I remember telling my children when they were glued to the television set (pre-computer in every hand days) that the people talking, drawing the cartoons, presenting, acting, singing or travelling around were living their lives actively and that we were just passive observers. I still need to tell myself that when I spend time online (I watch very little television) and give myself a metaphorical kick. It seems all the more urgent now I am in my sixties and conscious of the possibility of not being able to be so active.

It's that 'real thing' again isn't it Lucille. Watching others doing things just isn't the same. A (gentle) kick in the pants was just what I needed when I found this!

Happily I had some ironing to do this morning. It provides excellent reflection time.

A time for everything - it's knowing, or taking time to think about, what is right when - ironing provides useful thinking time - doubly productive in your case!

I've had this blogpost printed out for years. I re-read it every so often, and as you say Freda, it never fails to galvanise me into action! Thanks for reminding me about it again. I love your photo . It s beautiful in its simplicity.

I've just found it and printed it out too Penny - am deciding where to put it - maybe somewhere I will see it first thing when I am at my most sluggish....I know - inside the cupboard above the kettle to read while making that first cuppa! Glad you like the little table decoration.

I think we all need some pep talk sometimes, and this was an inspiring one for sure. Like Cath, I think there is a time for everything but I do enjoy a good call to action. A little bit ironic we find it online, isn't it?

Tee-hee. You're not sanctimonious Julia. Sanctimonious people don't have a sense of humour!
