Loved the Matisse Museum in Nice.

We also loved the food in the surrounding park. Sitting in dappled shade we felt as though we were relaxing in one of our favourtie Renoir paintings.

Idyllic. What holidays are for.

Marvellous photos. I’m listening to Shiela Hancock’s memoir Just Me with lovely detail on the Luberon. Hope you are going to the stunning Chagall museum too. Nice cafe in the grounds and breath taking displays…

Lovely photos. All I remember of the Matisse museum is the air conditioning! We were there many moons ago during an exceptionally hot August, with two grumpy preteen children, and to cut costs had got there by bus! The whole holiday was spent searching for air conditioning !! :)

Wonderful sunshine photos much appreciated.....have had to dash between torrential showers to pick ready washed salad leaves and strawberries for lunch !

Back to mists and midges but with some sunny intervals thankfully! That is my friend in the photograph.. I love her green shirt.
