Be sure to try it this weekend.
These were courtesy of M&S but it is even better for our spiritts to go out into nature, wrapped up and waterproofed if necessary, to observe nature's gifts with out own eyes and ears, to feel the wind and sun and rain on our skin, a balm for the soul, and a respite from the all too pervasive media.
Be sure to try it this weekend.

Daffs! Even on the bleakest, greyest days they are little lumps of furled sunshine. You are so right Freda; being outside is necessary.

The ones in the garden are opening now, and I can pick my own!

i've been seeing daffodils when walking for the past week or so (love them!). yesterday, it was the forsythia & hyacinths that caught my eye... & nose. daffodils signal spring with their bright color. The scent of the hyacinths does the same thing. I had to bend down to take in the fragrance. And then i woke up to about an inch of snow on the ground this morning! crazy weather!

That March for you! One minute spring sunshine, then back to winter, spring will win out for sure...

You've expressed exactly how I feel ! This morning I walked around our garden and paddocks appreciating the treasures of Spring . I watched a buzzard circling in the warm sunshine. Now time to hunker down indoors as the wind increases to yellow weather warning for the rest of the weekend .

There is plenty of variety to the days. And to the number of layers of clothes we need to wear!

I was reading on a lovely blog - Snapdragon Life - about bringing spring indoors. Jane talked about potting up some lesser celandine for the house. It grows in abundance on our lawn (bit of a grand word!), so I did just that.

I have a celandine called Brazen Hussy Which I will put in a pot and being inside for a little while. I’m off to look up that blog, thank you.
