It happens around this time every year, and every year I say Oh no! Too soon, too soon..

I know just how you feel ! The first Christmas card catalogue popped through our letter box at the end of July so I put it straight in the paper recycling bin . I hang on to summer for as long as I can and then enjoy the wonderful season of autumn with all its richness of colour and harvest. Early Christmas selling just makes me dig my heels in and say NO!

I saw some of the charity shops had Christmas cards on sale in Scotland and overheard some people in a café talking about where they were having Christmas dinner. I sometimes think people have forgotten how to enjoy the present moment.

I feel lucky to have escaped it all so far this year. It might help that we have not watched TV since may, and that we have cancelled all catalogues and don’t go shopping!

I've also noticed Christmas ads in the few catalogs I get. i look at what's being offered & move on. too soon to think about the holidays although the cool weather we're having reminds me they will be coming.

There is a site called: catalog choice. I am relentless about entering each catalog that arrives and that has helped enormously.

Oh dear, yes, that’s way too early! On a similar note, I’ve renamed the 11th month No!vember because every year I freak out that the year is almost over. Impossible!
