Simply..sometimes....

..there are no words. Just feelings which can't be expressed n a blog post, so I posted a simple picture last night.

I had been to a funeral yesterday which happened to be on the anniversry of another death.

It is important and beautiful to celebrate a life and equally important and necessary to mourn the loss, but I don't think both can be done at the same time without messing up my head!

Neither can they be rushed. The heart sets it's own pace.

The mind follows.

If I am wise, and let them have their way.

You express the conundrum beautifully, Freda. Especially fitting for me today as it is the 39th anniversary of my father's death. Back then it was the day before Father's Day which has made that celebration a somewhat melancholy occasion for me these past decades. Thankfully, the recollection of the two memorial services we had for him--one in the US and the other in the UK--make me grateful for the solace they provided--then and now. He was greatly loved. And still missed. May you find solace in your memories. xx
