..in Copenhagen is so varied. Ultramodernn and dramatic developments on the water, hidden old courtyards off the main streets, old streets covered over become art galleries, the elegant restraint of Neo Classicism and buildings which look as though they have been embroidered! I could have spent a week just looking at the buildings and at how the Danes live..

Oh Freda your photos bring back so many happy memories! For 7 years we spent each summer in Denmark and I felt so much at home there . There is art and beauty in every aspect of Danish life . I hope you went inside the Royal Copenhagen building .....the arrangements of the most beautiful china are an art work in themselves . I'm so glad Copenhagen delighted you.

What a wonderful place to spend your summers! I used to visit Copenhagen, when I was a student near Malmo, before the bridge was built. We did visit that store - so beautiful. Ty

i was in copenhagen more than 40 years ago. what a beautiful city. i remember being in awe of buildings older than my country was.... the US was celebrating its bicentennial that year. just a baby compared to the rest of europe.

Lovely photos. Those floral suspensions are beautiful. So tasteful compared to the current trend for tacky artificial flowers around doorways. The Scandinivians have style.
