Simply..the moon and the stars....

..at five thirty this morning were astonishingly beautiful above the forested skyline. I wrapped up and went out into the garden to take in the wonder of it all.

What tiny specks we are in the firmament! The deep silence and the utter mystery of it all enraptured me and I went back to bed and slept soundly.

A lot is made of 'the work/life balance', but I suspect more should be made of 'the real life/virtual life balance'. I have said it often that for me there is nothing like the real thing.

What do you think, and have you looked at the stars lately?

Just last night actually when I went out to close the shutters. The sky was very clear and starry. I could see one of the planets and was wishing I had a telescope! I read that Jupiter and Saturn are visible at the moment.

We look at the stars and moon and planets every night for a few minutes when we take our dogs out for the last time of the day. It is always so comforting and I have become intrigued with the moon’s placement and size each month in a way I have never been before. I haven’t been able to grasp the rotation and am looking for some sort of visual of the sun and moon and earth.

What beautiful way to end the day. There is an app called star walk which will tell you what you are looking at in the night sky. Amazing.

Yes , I often go out to look at the night sky . I love the vastness of it and the utter peace and silence of a dark clear night . Sometimes there are owls calling which just adds to the magic .
