Simply..the Word....

Inspired by two of my favourite books of 2014 I have decided that JOY will be my word for 2015.

Joie de vivre is a theme of Mireille Guilliano's book French Women Don't Get Fat and Does It Spark Joy? is a theme of Marie Kondo's The Life Changing Magic Of Tidying - both of which I've loved. See why here and here.

I've chosen a word for each year since 2011 and  had fun with Fitter, Free-Spirit, Lightly and Walk.

Have you tried this?

What will be your word for 2015?

I've never thought about having a word for the year. Hmmm...the first word that comes to mind is growth. Growth can go many different ways. I'll think on that for a day or 2.

Red tulips in December? A welcome sign of spring...don't I wish?

BTW, I've finally started the Diane von Furstenburg autobiography. She has some great words of wisdom, but what a different life style from anything I've ever experienced! So far, I'm liking it.

I'm going to have three words. Listen, walk and space.

Happy New Year to you and yours and thank you for all the posts you have put up this year.

I'm very fond of having a word for the year, for 2015, I'm choosing the word: flow.
Wishing you a very joyful year, and looking forward for your conversations here!

'Voeding' is my word for 2015. In English: nourishment, nourishing, to nourish. From the food I eat and food for thought to food for my soul. And one thing I know already: your writing here will help me deepen my relationship with and understanding of this word.
Happy New Year Freda.

Relish as in savor not as in hot dog condiment. Taste, swirl around the person/event/feeling in heart like it was fine wine being tasted in my mouth.

I like your word very much. I think I'm going to try 'Yes' this year.
I will certainly be saying yes to more posts from you throughout 2015.

Curate - as in edit, not in parish soul carer!!

Because Joy is my middle name (really ;)).

Happy New Year!!

That is an interesting one. Jill once chose 'crystallize' or was it 'distilling' but along the same lines as curate. What a gorgeous middle name (Mine is Anne).

Hi, sorry I'm late replying. Last year I had a word of the month, which was particularly good for getting through the Winter when I used words like nurture and hibernate.

2014 was a bit of a tough one, so I think I'm going to choose 'thrive'.

Happy New Year to all ;)

Thrive is a totally positive word, isn't it. I hope 2015 is a gentler year for you.

Floating, flying, free - it sounds good to me! You'll have to explain 'discipline' more to us Julia. Discipline in order to....?
