Sorry!

My new laptop has decided to join the rest of the country and lockdown.

I may be some time. Meanwhile, stay safe, stay strong and find some January joy wherever you can.

I met a Dutch couple, way back, who said that they'd made a conscious decision, when at home, to live as though they were in the 1950s.

How interesting Susan. The irony is of courses that I wouldn’t know you all without it. Am missing everyone so much!

Hope you're still OK Freda. It can be good to un-plug regularly but it can be stressful to not have the option to plug back in again when you choose so I hope you aren't feeling overly isolated. I hope "Shorelines" is still proving sustaining. I have just come across a new-to-me poet, Alison Brackenbury, and her work is lifting my spirits.

Thank you so much Gwendoline for the poetry suggestion. I have had a quick look and like what I see... Anything which lifts the spirits is so welcome. I am hoping to be back blogging next week with a borrowed laptop. Definitely feeling more isolated without it. I hope all is well with you z

Hoping that your computer repairs are proceeding well.
Something to cheer us: Radio 3 reported that the organist at the vaccination hub in Salisbury cathedral, serenaded the attendees with Handel and Bach. How thoughtful and generous.
