That looks so peaceful and inviting. I speak as the chainsaws and woodchipper fire up for the next stage of the work here and we await the return of the scaffolders and roofers later in the day.
That sounds very full on Lucille!
Stunning pictures and your lovely house too. x
I'm glad you like them Viv.
Thank you .Beautiful photographs radiating calm and peace. I am going through a really difficult time in my life just now and your post today is a gift that is much appreciated. You live in a beautiful place..Thank you for sharing it.
Wishing you comfort and strength to deal with the hard things Mary B and thank you for your kind words. x
More “keepers”, Freda...these photos speak to me! And i love how you led us all “home”. I had a sense that maybe you are making peace....hugs...xoxoxo
I am growing to love the peace of the early morning.
And as someone who loves morning more than any other time of day, i say: welcome!! And enjoy!!
Thinking that walking and capturing the the stone and water views are offering you some peace and tranquility after the stirring of feelings brought on by the studio clearing. x
A nice counterpoint Mary!
Both sets of your photos in the last two posts are redolent with the all enduring properties of the natural world. They suggest calm; smooth repetition and the sense of much time passing, and give us a feeling that we are just fleeting by comparison. And that that doesn’t matter either. Wonderful choices.
I think this is very much reflecting the Tao idea of non-doing. You are being contemplative, which is different from contemplating; you are not doing, you are being. Perhaps we go too little outside our everyday lives; we are all so caught up with the business of living, justifying, achieving and acquiring. Maybe we should try just existing for a change?
Enjoy just drawing a breath.
I;m lucky to have the chance to be in nature on a daily basis - but even so I realised I had not been down to the shore for ages! Contemplative is the word for these last few days.
Beautifully serene Freda... hope you were feeling the same way :-)
Particularly love the picture towards the top with the three breakwaters (am assuming that's what they are) - lovely composition. And I can almost smell the shore! I miss the sea...
It was a very still and serene morning and some of it does rub off on you when you walk in such beauty.
Such an expanse of cool lapping water.
I do love it.
Lovely pictures. Lots of what I call texture shots. Beautiful, thank you.
