There is some truth in the saying what you focus on is what you get.

My decision to change my word, despite my reservatios, was a good one. See this post.

February posts in 2023 were mostly about romance. This one lists romantic things and your suggestions were a wonderful addition.

Your focus on your word was impressive, Freda, and you appear to have had a very romantic year and it gave you, and as a by product your readers, a lot of pleasure. Flourish is a wonderful word and as well as your state of wellbeing you can use it as a noun and flourish with a bit of panache.
The posts on choosing a word for the year are so stimulating and lead me down lots of tracks of meaning and thought that perhaps my actual word takes second place to the process of deciding. Floreat, Freda!
